LIBRARY FRIENDS TO HOLD FALL BOOK SALE

August 16, 2022 3:30 a.m.

Community volunteers and donations are being sought for the Friends of the Roseburg Public Library’s fall book sale in early September.

A City of Roseburg release said the sale will feature library withdrawals and donated books in good condition all selling for 50 cents or less in the Ford Room at the library. Children’s books and mass-market paperbacks will sell for 25 cents. The sale will include some science fiction, DVDs and audiobooks.

The event will take place:

*Thursday September 1st from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

*Friday September 2nd from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

*Saturday September 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 2::00 p.m.

All materials will be 25 cents on Saturday.

Volunteers are needed to help during the sale, with set up the day before, and with take down after it ends that Saturday. To volunteer, call the library at 492-7050.

Donations of books, DVDs and audiobooks on CD can be dropped off at the library’s front desk during hours the facility is open. Magazines published in the last three years will also be accepted.

Proceeds raised by the event benefit the library’s collections, programs and projects. Over the past year, the funding has supported author visits, the Summer Reading Program, craft supplies and other projects.
