SUTHERLIN POLICE JAIL MAN ON SEX CRIME CHARGES

Sutherlin Police jailed a man on sex crime charges on Monday.

Thirty-year old Jose A Ceja Equihua was charged with first-degree counts of rape and sodomy, third-degree sex abuse and for contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor. After arraignment, he is being held on $100,000 bail.

Captain Kurt Sorenson said the case involves a juvenile. He said the allegations were reported in October of 2021 and turned into a lengthy investigation that culminated in the arrest. No further information is being released by SPD.
