Wednesday is the opening day for this year’s Douglas County Fair.

The main gate is open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

It is Senior Day which means those age 65 and over get in for free all day, with identification. The Senior Talent Show runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on The News-Review Garden Park Stage. Kids age 12 and under are admitted for free all day as well.

Commercial buildings open daily at 11:00 a.m. with the carnival gate opening Wednesday at 12:00 p.m.

4H and FFA activities take place all day. The Challenge of Champions Bull Riding is at 7:00 p.m. in the Cascade Community Credit Union Grandstands. The Boon Dock Boys play at 8:30 p.m. on the Garden Park Stage. Roaming acts can be seen from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Buses from Roseburg High School and the First Student Lot in Green run on the hour and half hour from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Parking at the event costs $10 per vehicle.

Admission for adults is $10.
