Slow progress is being made on the Windigo Fire and the Potter Fire.

An update from Northwest Incident Management Team 6 said the Windigo Fire remains 25 percent contained, with zero percent containment on the Potter Fire.

Crews have completed hose lines around the entire perimeter of the Windigo Fire. They are working to solidify the line and continue mop up around the perimeter, looking to expand the line further inward. Firefighters on the Potter Fire continue mop up operations and work to strengthen primary, alternate and contingency lines.

The Big Swamp Fire is 114 acres. Crews have worked to secure line with aviation support while dozers improve lines.

Resources on the fires include 801 total personnel comprised of 20 hand crews, 24 engines, 13 dozers, 12 water tenders, nine Type 1 helicopters and one Type 3 helicopter.

High temperatures will reach 81 to 87 degrees. Fire spotting distances may be up between .25 and .4 miles with a 75 to 85 percent chance of ignition on dry fuels.

The Windigo Fire is listed at 1,053 acres while the Potter Fire is at 279 acres.
