A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 2:00 p.m. Monday through 9:00 p.m. Tuesday for the Southern Oregon Cascades and surrounding areas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said abundant lightning on dry fuels are forecast. Some areas will see strong, gusty winds with low relative humidity. That means critically dry vegetation will greatly increase the spread potential of any new and existing fires.
