ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL TRANSIENT FOLLOWING ALLEGED HARASSMENT

Roseburg Police jailed a transient following an alleged harassment incident on Tuesday.

The RPD report said just after 12:10 p.m. the 43-year old allegedly attacked a victim unprovoked, knocking him from his wheelchair near the bus stop at the intersection of Southeast Washington Street and Southeast Rose Street. A bus driver intervened but the suspect was undeterred and walked away.

The transient was found nearby and arrested for harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $2,500.
