A Roseburg man was jailed for an alleged criminal mischief incident early Wednesday.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 6:00 a.m. the 32-year old, for an unknown reason, punched a hole in the back window of an SUV in the 600 block of West Wharton Street. The suspect was detained a short distance away and would not provide his name. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and advised.

The suspect was charged with second-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set at $6,250.
