July 4th is Independence Day in the United States and that means there are a number of closures.

Federal, state, county and city offices are closed. No regular mail will be delivered. Banks and credit unions will not be open. The stock market is shuttered. Professional offices are closed though most retail stores will be open. However, some may operate with reduced hours.
