SUMMER ARTS FESTIVAL BEGINS FRIDAY

Umpqua Valley Arts has its 53rd annual Summer Arts Festival Friday through Sunday.

This year’s theme is No Place Like Home in the Umpqua Valley.

Over 130 local and regional artists are offering handcrafted works in all media. Local youth artisans and entrepreneurs are selling their work at the Emerging Artist Vendor tent. Fun-filled art activities are taking place in the Kids Zone. There will be non-stop music, dance and entertainment on two stages with groups from around the region. A food court will offer a variety of things include local wine and craft beer.

Demonstrations will happen at the Clay Place throughout the event.

There is still an opportunity to become a Friend of Festival and help the event financially. There are several levels of sponsorships with a number of benefits available.

The Summer Arts Festival runs Friday 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5 per person with kids under 6 admitted for free.
