A Portland man was taken to the hospital after losing control of his vehicle on Interstate 5 Thursday morning.

An Oregon State Police report said at 11:25 a.m. the 44-year old was heading northbound about a mile south of the Winston exit when he encountered turbulence as he was overtaking a semi-truck. His vehicle crashed onto the left shoulder. The driver was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center to be treated with minor injuries.
