The Oregon Department of Revenue is beginning to distribute one-time assistance payments of $600 or more to over 236,000 qualifying households.

A release said this is due to action by the Oregon State Legislature, through House Bill 4157. Payments will be received by direct deposit or check by July 1st.

To qualify, households must have received the Earned Income Tax Credit on their 2020 tax filing and lived in Oregon the last six months of 2020. A total of nearly $142 million is expected to be distributed to over 236,000 qualifying recipients.
