Roseburg Police charged a man with first-degree theft on Friday.

An RPD report said just before 7:00 p.m. officers contacted 35-year old Andrew Cravea near the intersection of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard and Northwest Goetz Street, because he matched the description of a suspect from multiple shoplifting cases at a business on Northwest Stewart Parkway. The total amount of merchandise stolen was over $1,000.

Cravea was jailed on $50,000 bail.
