State Representative Christine Goodwin has been appointed to the House Interim Committee on Health Care.

On Friday, Speaker Dan Rayfield announced the appointment. The committee has jurisdiction over the Oregon Health Authority and focuses on policy related to Oregonian’s access to health care and health care options.

Goodwin said she is eager for the opportunity. Goodwin said, “We have many challenges in our rural communities to provide high quality, affordable and accessible health care. I will work toward good policy to protect individual medical freedom and support our health care practitioners who choose to live and work in rural Oregon”.

The committee is scheduled to reconvene in September for Legislative Days.

Goodwin was appointed to House District 2 in August 2021.
