With the forecast still causing a question, Movies in the Park is scheduled for Stewart Park in Roseburg Friday night.

The return of the popular summer series, paused by two years of the pandemic, has been further delayed by two weeks of rainy weather. It is presented by Roseburg Parks and Recreation and is sponsored by Rogue Credit Union.

The Disney movie Encanto is on the schedule. It will be shown at dusk, around 9:00 p.m. Pre-movie entertainment begins at 7:30 p.m. Evan and Vanessa is a bilingual children’s band and were named one of the Best New Latin Kid’s Music Groups by https://www.billboard.com/ in 2018.

Popcorn and snacks are available before the movie begins. Those attending can also bring their own food and drinks, though alcohol is not allowed.

Movies in the Park is weather permitting. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are not allowed. Tobacco products are not permitted in the entire parks’ system.
