The Paul Morgan Observatory at Umpqua Community College is hosting a stargazing event this Friday night.

Information released from the observatory said the event is titled: Dark Sky, Galaxies and Globulars Galore.

Organizers said it’s a great way to have some galactic summer fun by looking deep into the night sky using the observatory’s specialized equipment.

Using telescopes, and a large digital screen, event attendees will see the night sky like never before.

The free event begins at 10:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
