A woman was jailed in an alleged fraud case on Monday.

Information from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said in May a victim reported possible fraudulent activity on a credit card. The victim was able to provide more information which documented multiple purchases at a store and identified the suspect as being 33-year old Samantha Craig.

A deputy followed up at that store and reviewed the transactions and saw video footage of the suspect, who allegedly spent approximately $1,400 in three purchases.

Craig was taken into custody in the 3000 block of Krohn Lane in Green. She was detained for four counts each of identity theft and computer crime, and one count each of first-degree theft and second-degree theft.

Bail was initially set at $181,250, but was reduced to $25,000 after arraignment.
