Roseburg Parks and Recreation Department is offering its “Just for Fun” golf program on Monday nights this summer.

A release said beginning June 27th, the program offers women five chances to play golf and make new friends at Stewart Park Golf Course on Northwest Stewart Parkway. Participants can play each night or whichever night fits their schedule.

The program will mix ladies together in different groups each week, providing opportunities to meet and play with many others at the nine-hole golf course. Those participating will be placed in a group or can bring a foursome of women who play golf together.

The release said players need their own golf clubs and a basic knowledge of the game. Evening golf will be held June 27th, July 11th and 25th and August 8th and 22nd. No pre-registration is needed. Just check in by 5:20 p.m. at the golf course desk and be ready to start play at 5:30 p.m.

The fee is $15 a night, which includes a $10 green fee. Cart rentals are available for an extra $5 per player.
