WOMAN JAILED FOLLOWING ALLEGED ASSAULT

A woman was jailed following an alleged assault incident on Sunday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 8:30 p.m. deputies were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of North Main Street n Canyonville. It was reported that two females had been involved in a physical disturbance. A victim claimed a 29-year old woman had punched her and dragged her by the jacket.

The report said the victim had injuries consistent with her statement. There were also numerous witnesses to the incident. The suspect was charged with fourth-degree assault and for second-degree disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $8,750.
