WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY STARTS SATURDAY NIGHT

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 8:00 p.m. Saturday through 11:00 a.m. Sunday for the Southern Oregon Cascades.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said wet snow is expected with total snow accumulations of five to nine inches. Winds will gust as high as forty-five miles per hour.

The Advisory area includes Crater Lake, Diamond Lake and surrounding areas.

Forecasters said roads may become slick and snow covered. The heaviest rates of snow will be late Saturday night through very early Sunday morning. With seasonably warm road surfaces, snow should mostly melt by mid to late Sunday morning.
