A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue steep angle rescue team, along with Douglas County Fire District No. 2 and Glide Fire and Medical’s steep angle rescue staff retrieved a California man Monday night in Idleyld Park.

A DCSO release said just after 7:00 p.m. a Pacific Power employee found 79-year old Dennis Wilson of Burbank, about 300 to 400 yards down a steep incline with a head and ankle injury. The man had been working with five others doing contract work for the utility when he fell and went down the steep incline along Moore Hill Lane.

Wilson was brought down the steep incline at about 11:00 p.m. The man declined transportation to the hospital but was going to CHI Mercy Medical Center by private vehicle.
