Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center is presenting Barks+Recreation on Saturday.

Executive Director Megan Gram said the new dog friendly fundraising event will be at the Stewart Park bandshell from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is free with well-behaved dogs on a leash welcome. Gram said her goal is to get people outside with their dogs and raise awareness about the work that Saving Grace and other animal welfare organizations are doing in the community.

Activities will include a number of doggie contests along with pet-friendly vendors, doggie sno-cones, a beer garden, food carts, kid’s activity booth, rabies vaccinations, and more. Live music by the Tori Rose Band will be featured from 4:30 p.m. to 6;00 p.m.

The event is sponsored by Aaron Daniel, realtor at Lamonte Realty Professionals, Orenco Systems Inc, and Oregon Pacific Bank.
