This summer Partner Sports Camp is celebrating its 17th year, and registration is now open to participants and volunteers.

A release from the Douglas Education Service District said the camp will be held July 11th through the 21st. The camp is a cooperative endeavor of ESD and the YMCA of Douglas County. Students with disabilities between ages 8 and 21 are partnered alongside students without disabilities. Participation is free thanks to sponsors and donors. The camp registration is open through June 1st.

Daily activities will take place from 9:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at or starting from a section of Stewart Park that is adjacent to the YMCA. Campers and partners will participate in basketball, soccer, kickball, fishing, swimming, volleyball, tennis and golf, while building friendships.

Closing ceremonies will take place on July 21st.
