It appears that Oregon voters will choose between three women in the race for Governor, come November.

Early results from the Oregon Secretary of State’s Office show Christen Drazan leading a field of nineteen listed candidates for the GOP nomination. Drazan has twenty-three percent of the vote to eighteen percent for Bob Tiernan. Stan Pulliam, Bridget Barton, Kerry McQuisten and Bud Pierce follow, each getting between eight and nearly ten percent of the vote.

Tina Kotek was the clear winner for the Democratic nomination, getting almost fifty-six percent of the vote. Tobias Reed came in second with thirty-two percent. Former Douglas County resident Patrick Starnes is a distant third, with two-percent. Twelve other candidates were on the Democratic ballot.

Unaffiliated candidate Betsy Johnson will be the third name on the ballot. The former Democratic State Senator leads all those running in her fundraising efforts, already bringing in nearly $8.5 million.
