Tuesday is Election Day in Oregon and voters have only hours to get their ballot turned in.

The state is selecting Republican and Democratic nominees for the position of Governor. The office of Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries is up for election. Statewide, a number of judicial positions are being voted on. U.S. Senator Ron Wyden is up for re-election, with candidates in both major parties seeking an opportunity to compete for his seat in November.

Oregon is getting a sixth seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, following the 2020 census. Nominees for those positions are being voted on. All House seats in the Oregon State Legislature are up for election, with half of the Senate positions being voted on as well.

In Douglas County, all three County Commissioners are seeking another term in office. Voters are being asked whether to allow commissioners to expend financial resources towards an effort to move the county inside the borders of the State of Idaho.

The Roseburg School District has a $154 million bond levy in front of voters. Patrons are being asked to approve using the funds to increase safety, make repairs, update schools and improve learning spaces. The South Umpqua School District and the Days Creek School District have bond levies being voted on as well. The Camas Valley Rural Fire Department has a five-year tax levy being considered by voters. In coastal Douglas County, the City of Reedsport has an increase in the transient room tax up for a vote.
