Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center will present Barks+Recreation this Saturday at the band shell in Roseburg’s Stewart Park.

Executive Director Megan Gram said the new dog friendly fundraising event will run from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. It is free to attend and well-behaved dogs on a leash are welcome. Gram said the goal is to get people outside with their dogs and raise awareness about the work Saving Grace and other animal welfare organizations are doing in the community.

Doggie activities will include Best Trick, Best Hair and a Pie Eating Contest. The event will feature pet friendly vendors, doggie sno-cones, a beer garden, a kid’s activity booth, rabies vaccinations and microchips, food carts, an agility course and live music from the Tory Rose Band from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
