In the KQEN Business Spotlight:

Cascade Community Credit Union has announced their 2022 Pathfinder Scholarship recipients. Marketing Director Shelby Beattie said the winners demonstrated exemplary leadership, scholastic determination and personal ambition throughout their high school careers. Beattie said all were recommended with the highest regards by their educators and mentors. Each receives a $1,500 scholarship.

*Natalie Shaw is a senior at Glide High School and plans to study computer science in her continued education. Shaw is skilled in coding and hopes to use her talents to develop applications that will improve the lives of those who live with disabilities

*Marissa Magana is a senior at Sutherlin High School and plans to attend Western Oregon University to obtain her nursing degree. Magana aspires to become a Nurse Practitioner.

*Jack Mornarich is a Glide High senior and will be attending Oregon State University. He plans to purse a career in Veterinary Medicine. Mornarich is an active volunteer within his school and the Glide community.

Beattie said this selection is based on academic performance, community involvement and the applicant’s potential to succeed in their chosen area of study.
