A Winston man was jailed following an alleged disturbance on Monday night.

A Roseburg Police report said just after 6:50 p.m. officers responded to an establishment in the 900 block of Southeast Stephens after a caller said a man was becoming upset and attempting to climb over the bar.

While doing that, the suspect, 28-year old Samuel Goodwin, allegedly broke a bar light and scratched a bartender on the finger while trying to grab her. Another man pulled Goodwin off the bar onto the floor, to try and subdue him. The report said the suspect punched the patron in the back of the head and on the side of the face. Another customer jumped in and put Goodwin in a control hold and held him in place until police arrived and could take over.

Goodwin was charged with two counts of harassment, and for second-degree counts of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Other charges were added. Bail is set at $48,120.
