One driver was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle wreck on Sunday.

A report from Oregon State Police said just before 12:15 p.m. the operator of a sports car lost control on Interstate 5, two miles north of the Robert’s Mountain summit while heading southbound. The vehicle struck a sedan and slid into the concrete median barrier before veering back across all three lanes of the freeway. The sports car came to rest after striking an ODOT guardrail on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway.

The driver of that vehicle was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center to be evaluated. He was also cited for failure to drive within a lane. The report said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.
