ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR GADDIS PARK INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following an incident at Gaddis Park on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 5:30 p.m. officers received a report that a man was acting erratic and under the influence of an unknown substance, at the location on Northwest Highland Drive. Once on the scene, officers found the 28-year old rolling around in the sand, shirtless and apparently under the influence. The suspect’s parole officer wanted him detained.

The man was taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center and once medically cleared, was transported to the Douglas County Jail. He was detained without bail.
