Sutherlin Police jailed a man following an alleged disorderly conduct incident Thursday morning.

An SPD report said the previous evening there had been multiple calls about 36-year old Kevin Blair’s conduct. Calls continued to come in throughout the morning. Blair was contacted in the 1200 block of West Central Avenue just after 9:30 a.m. and told he was being detained, but the suspect took off on foot. He was placed in custody under the freeway overpass after a brief struggle. Two syringes were allegedly found in  Blair’s pocket.

The suspect was charged with second-degree counts of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass, third-degree escape and for resisting arrest. Bail was set at $16,250.
