Roseburg Police jailed a man on sex crimes charges Thursday night.

Information from RPD said at 9:30 p.m. detectives investigated a report initiated by patrol officers regarding a thirteen-year old female who disclosed alleged sexual abuse by fifty-four-year old Jerry Thacker which had allegedly taken place on Wednesday.

Search warrants were later executed on Thacker, his residence and vehicle. He was taken into custody in the 1100 block of Southeast Mill Street. Thacker was charged with sexual abuse in the first-degree, and second-degree counts of rape, sodomy, and unlawful sexual penetration. Bail was set at $1 million.
