The Oregon State University Extension Master Gardeners will have their 35th annual Plant & Garden Expo this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
Cheryl Caplan from the group said the event will house more than 15,000 plants including annuals, perennials, vegetables, shrubs and trees, all grown by volunteer Master Gardeners. Cash, checks, debit and credit cards are all accepted.
Caplan said Master Gardeners will be on hand to offer planting tips and advice. Many local vendors will offer garden related items such as yard art, gardening supplies, tools and specialty plants.
Admission is $3 with children under 12 admitted for free. Proceeds from the Garden Expo support education programs for the community that are offered by the local Master Gardeners. For more information, call the OSU Extension Office at 672-4461.
