ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged assault Friday afternoon.

An RPD report said just before 2:15 p.m. officers responded to the 1700 block of Northeast Commercial Avenue. 36-year old David Moll allegedly became upset and punched a woman in the cheek, causing her to fall to the floor. A man tried to intervene and Moll reportedly punched him in the face, breaking his nose.

Moll was charged with second-degree assault, which is a felony, and for harassment. Bail was set at $252,500.
