CASA of Douglas County is having a 5K fun run on Saturday.

“Scamper, Skip or Stroll” will be held at River Forks Park beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Executive Director Angela Gross said CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. Gross said that funds raised will help the non-profit be able to support children in the county that are in the child welfare system due to abuse or neglect.

Pre-registration at the event will begin at 8:30 a.m. It can also be done in advance through a link on the organization’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/CASAofDouglasCountyOregon. Entry fee is $25 for those age 17 and up, $15 for teens age 13 to 17. Those age 12 and under can participate for free with no race tracking.
