A Roseburg man was cited for offensive littering on Monday. following repeated incidents.

An RPD report said at 3:30 p.m. officers contacted the 83-year old man in the parking lot of a store on Northwest Keasey, where he was purchasing several more beers. The suspect was called in for drinking beer and then throwing the cans out of his vehicle window on Northwest Troost Street. The person reporting the incident and the store clerk from the business were both concerned that the man was driving drunk,

The report said the store clerk indicated that the man comes into the store every day and purchases several beers from him. The person making the report said he had noticed the man doing it around three to four times per week.

The man was taken into custody from a home in the 1600 block of Northwest Keasey Street and transported to the jail. He was released to family members.
