Deadlines are approaching to apply for seats on the Roseburg City Council, the Roseburg Planning Commission, and the Roseburg City Charter Review Committee.

A City release said this Friday at 5:00 p.m. is the deadline to turn in an application for a Ward One position that is open following the recent resignation of Councilor Alison Eggers. Applications for the Planning Commission are due by 5:00 p.m. on May 13th. The current vacancy must be filled by someone who lives inside the city.

A new limited-duration Charter Review Committee will help update the current City Charter over a six-month period. The committee will work with city staff and the city attorney to review and propose amendments to language and sections of the document. Candidates must live in Roseburg. The deadline to apply is this Friday at 5:00 p.m.
