A Winston man died in a motorcycle crash on Saturday.

Lieutenant Brad O’Dell of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said shortly after 4:30 p.m. 911 received a report of single vehicle motorcycle wreck in the 1,000 block of Brockway Road near Winston. O’Dell said deputies arrived and learned that a motorcycle operated by 41-year old Michael Poole had been traveling on the road at a high rate of speed when the motorcyclist lost control and left the roadway. Poole was declared deceased at the scene.
