Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man accused of having a stolen vehicle, on Thursday.

A DCSO report said at 10:30 a.m. the vehicle was spotted at a business on Roberts Creek Road in Green. The store manager told a deputy that the male she saw in the driver’s seat was in the restroom. 28-year old Andrew Barnes of Roseburg was located in the restroom and detained for a warrant. The report said the suspect lied several times and eventually claimed that he had in fact driven the SUV, but only about thirty feet across the parking lot.

Barnes was charged was possession of a stolen vehicle and for the warrant and cited for a violation amount of methamphetamine. After arraignmen
