A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday for much of southern Oregon.

An Urgent Weather Message from the National Weather Service said south to southwest winds of fifteen to twenty-five miles per hour are expected with gusts up to forty-five miles per hour.

The Advisory area includes most of Douglas, Josephine and Jackson counties, and eastern Curry County, including Interstate Five, Highway 199, Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford and Cave Junction.

Forecasters said gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and power outages may result. Heavier showers and any thunderstorms will be the main cause of strong winds. Winds will be lighter in between showers and storms.
