ROSEBURG VA TO CHANGE URGENT CARE HOURS STARTING MAY 2ND

April 20, 2022 10:00 a.m.

Starting May 2nd, the Roseburg VA Health Care System will change the operating hours of its Urgent Care Clinic to now be open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays.

A release said the transition will help reallocate resources to other outpatient clinics, including pharmacy, respiratory, and radiology, allowing them to remain open two hours later and see veterans until 6:00 p.m. Additionally, the change is due to the number of veterans checking into the Urgent Care Clinic after 6:00 p.m. significantly declining over the last several years.

The release said after hours, emergency and urgent care services are available in the community. Eligible veterans can find in-network clinics at www.va.gov/find-locations to find the nearest urgent care provider.

Veterans can contact the VA’s Telephone Care Service to talk to a medical professional about new and worsening symptoms and assess their need for urgent care by calling 888-598-7793. In addition, same-day services are often available through primary care and can be scheduled by calling 440-1000, option 2.

Those experiencing a life-threatening emergency should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Veterans, providers or caregivers should notify the VA within 72 hours of accessing care by calling 844-724-7842

The Urgent Care Clinic has been open from 8:00 a.m.to 8:00 p.m.
