MAN TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING ALLEGED HARASSMENT INCIDENT

A Roseburg man was taken to the hospital following an alleged harassment incident early Sunday.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 1:00 a.m. the 23-year old was escorted out of a business in the 2600 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard for allegedly being too intoxicated. The suspect reportedly punched a bouncer in the face, causing a small cut to the man’s lower lip. A friend separated the suspect from the bouncer. Due to the suspect’s level of intoxication he was unable to keep his balance and fell backwards onto the ground, hitting the back of his head knocking himself unconscious.

The suspect was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center where he stayed for additional evaluation before being released. The man was cited for harassment
