April 11, 2022 4:10 a.m.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 11:00 p.m. Monday for central Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said heavy, wet snow accumulations of two to four inches are expected above 2,500 feet, with up to fifteen inches possible over higher remote elevations. Winds are slated to gust as high as forty-five miles per hour over exposed terrain.

The Advisory area includes south central Douglas County along the Umpqua Divide, including Highway 227 near Tiller and Interstate Five over the Canyon Mountain Pass.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult to impossible. Blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.
