WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY THROUGH 11:00 A.M. WEDNESDAY ABOVE 2,500 FEET

A Winter Weather Advisory for parts of central Douglas County is in effect through 11:00 a.m. Wednesday above 2,500 feet.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said additional snow accumulations of eight to twelve inches are expected with up to twenty inches over the higher terrain.

The Advisory area includes south central areas of the county along the Umpqua Divide including a portion of Highway 227 near Tiller and Interstate Five including Canyon Mountain Pass.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult at higher elevations.
