Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported theft on Saturday.

The RPD report said just after 4:20 p.m. the 51-year old was detained by loss prevention employees at a business in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway, after he was allegedly caught try to steal items from the store.

The suspect was charged with second-degree theft and for a probation violation. He was detained without bail.
