WIND ADVISORY FOR REGION STARTS LATE SUNDAY

A Wind Advisory for much of the region will start late Sunday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said southwest winds of fifteen to twenty-five miles per hour with gusts up to forty-five miles per hour are expected.

The Advisory area includes portions of central Douglas County, eastern Curry County and for Josephine County. Camas Valley, Sexton Summit, portions of Interstate Five, and highways 42 and 199 are part of the Advisory.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

The Advisory is in place from 11:00 p.m. Sunday until 11:00 a.m. Monday.
