Thursday is expected to be the hottest day of the year so far in Roseburg.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said the mercury is slated to reach 85 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. March 22nd was the prior warmest day in 2022, getting to 75 degrees.

Forecasters said the record high for the date is 91 degrees, which came during a hot period in 2016. The average high for early April in Roseburg is 61 degrees, meaning Thursday’s high temperature will be over twenty degrees above normal.

Friday will bring a change with a high temperature drop of over twenty degrees. Even cooler temperatures are expected for the weekend with a slight chance of rain, and the potential for a little snow at higher elevations.
