WOMAN JAILED FOR ALLEGED UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM

A Canyonville woman was jailed following a traffic stop by Myrtle Creek Police on Tuesday.

The MCPD report said at about 12:00 p.m. an officer stopped a sedan for traffic violations near the intersection of Oliver Drive and Heard Street. 40-year old Genia Green eventually provided a suspended license. Green was suspended, uninsured and allegedly concealing a loaded revolver.

She was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and for using an invalid license. Bail was set at $12,500.
