Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a woman for an alleged burglary incident on Sunday.
A DCSO report said at 8:15 a.m. deputies responded to a call that Valerie Salter was trespassing on a victim’s property in the 300 block of Outback Lane in Glendale. Salter was allegedly taking items from the attached garage and chicken coup.
When deputies arrived, Salter was already back in her residence and numerous items from the chicken coup and garage were set throughout the roadway making it so vehicles could not pass through. A deputy was allowed into Salters residence by a family member and she was eventually taken into custody.
Charges included first and second-degree burglary, second-degree disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set at $303,750.
