A Roseburg man was cited after he was allegedly dancing in the street on Thursday.

A Roseburg Police report said just before 2:00 p.m. officers contacted the 44-year old in the 300 block of Northeast Garden Valley Boulevard. Multiple callers said the suspect was in the middle of the road. The man said he was hungry and wanted people to buy him food, so that is why he was in the roadway. He stated “…he knew what he did was illegal, but he didn’t care and was not concerned about being hit by a car, because at least he would be in heaven and not be hungry anymore”.

The suspect was cited for second-degree disorderly conduct and released on the scene.
