Expansion continues at Cascade Community Credit Union on West Harvard Avenue in Roseburg.

After recently putting in a drive-up ATM east of the main building, now contractors are building a new addition to that structure. Marketing Director Shelby Beattie told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that 12,000 square feet of space are going up next to the current 8,000 square foot building. Beattie said the new construction will provide additional offices for increased privacy in member transactions, a board room and a community meeting room. Beattie said work should be complete by September.

Other work taking place at Cascade includes new landscaping, a sign and parking areas on both the east and west sides of the building. The west side is on the property the credit union purchased from the former Harvard Avenue Drug store. Additional space on the eastside was owned by Umpqua Homes. Both parcels were acquired in 2019 and give Cascade a footprint of just under three acres. Beattie said the eastside lot should be finished by the end of April, with the westside lot completed sometime in May. Space on that side will leave plenty of room for potential development sometime up the road.

Cascade also has locations on Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard in Roseburg and on East Central in Sutherlin.
